Sir Hart Released From Jail.

After two years in jail under false pretenses, #Naptown producer Sir Hart was released.

If the system really worked, he wouldn’t have been there. This was obviously another case where the police department played up for the cameras (This case was featured on ‘reality’ show, ‘The Shift’), but at least this time, no 6-year-old girls were killed, so we have that going for us.

This kinda thing happens all too often and there’s no reason for it. With all the awesome investigative techniques that I have seen on the types of show, there is NO excuse for any man to sit in jail for two years while the cops get their shit together. They wasted two years of this man’s life, took him away from his family and many opportunities. Regardless of what they hafta pay him due to any kinda settlement, that time can never be given back. And if I was him, any shred of trust I had in law enforcement would be gone.

Well, at least the brother is free now. God Bless Sir Hart and his family, moving FORWARD from here.

Letting you know. Muncie this Saturday, Bloomington, this Tuesday.

Previously unseen Scribble Jam Cypher from 1999, featuring Eyedea, Dose-One, Pugslee Atoms. Watch the TOUGHLOVE session given to the little dude at 7:15. Great stuff.

RIP Eyedea.

‘Love It’ (from #WADAPLU) ; live at The Broad Ripple Music Fest.

Elp-Mass couldn’t be at this show, but there was no way I was gonna miss out on being a part of the Heavy Gun Beat Battle and Hip-Hop Showcase. Cool Hand Lex was cool enough to handle the DJ responsibilities for us (and slick enough to try shit that I didn’t expect without us missing a beat. “NICE ECHO, KID!”)

BIG SHOUTOUT - SPITTEN WRITTENS, there’s a new hip-hop blog in Naptown and I would advise you ALL to check it out. They’re covering Naptown hip-hop a bit, got a buncha footage from the BRMF, plus their t-shirt game is kinda nice! (I need one, yo) Thanks for rocking with us and the next time you see me, let’s talk.

That’s the HOMEY tho…

The main voice was instantly recognizable, though: Ishmael Butler, once and sometimes still Butterfly of the mid-90s boho-rap innovators Digable Planets. Here he’s Palaceer Lazaro, [Shabazz Palaces’] primary engine, his voice still soothing and cool, precise in its enunciations.

more, about Butler’s recent show, here.
